Dr Séverine Maréchal

Dr Séverine Maréchal has more than 15 years of experience advising public and private sector actors in their strategic investment and business decisions on projects across the transport industry and the world. She has worked on large rail projects in France (LISEA, SNCF), the United States (California HSR), Canada (HFR), Great Britain (HS2) and the Gulf region. Recently she contributed to cross-border rail links – passengers and freight – between GCC countries (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE) using innovative Maglev and High-Speed Rail (HSR) technology. She contributed as well on iconic projects in Saudi Arabia such as NEOM, Qiddiya, Makkah Metro, Al-Ula. With the objective of fostering future-proof cities, Séverine promotes the steering of rail transport projects using sustainability-led management.
