Joanna leads UK Export Finance’s business origination activities in Europe, the Middle East & Asia, covering a range of sectors, including renewable energy, clean growth and infrastructure. In this role, Joanna manages the development of a diversified pipeline of bankable projects for UK Export Finance across these markets.
She is also responsible for UK Export Finance’s international network in the region, including UK Export Finance’s Country Heads in Asia Pacific (including China, South Korea, Indonesia and Malaysia), India, the Middle East (including the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia) and the Western Balkans.
Joanna has extensive experience in negotiating and executing cross-border transactions, with a specific focus on structured and asset finance and project financing. Joanna also maintains particular interest in the environmental and social impacts of overseas projects.
Joanna was previously Regional Head for Asia Pacific, South Asia & China at UK Export Finance. Prior to this, Joanna was a corporate lawyer advising sponsors, multilaterals, export credit agencies and international commercial banks on transformational project finance deals.
