Sandro BENETTI has nearly 29 years of work experience with 18 years of experience in the transport sector, including the last 6 years dedicated to the project management for railway systems and infrastructures.
He began his career as High School mathematical and electronic teacher, followed by the role of project manager of electrical installation in the Venise shipyards.
He then moved to France to integrate the IT sector as Software Designer and Servers Administrator. The integration of the railway field began in 2006 where he covered different roles as technical expert: Signalling and Interlocking, CBTC, ETCS L1 and L2, System and Safety Assurance, Systems Design and Validation, Telecommunication in France, Italy and Australia.
He came back to the project management role in 2009 and he is now the Rail Baltica project manager within a Joint venture comprising SYSTRA, Egis and Italferr, after having succeeded the PMI Certification exam in 2023.
He fluently speaks three languages: Italian (mother tongue), French and English and has double nationality: Italian and Australian.
