Alaa AbuSiam

Alaa Abusiam is the Chief Executive Officer of Egis in the Middle East & South Asia, holding this position since 2021. In this role, he is responsible for driving business growth across the region, whilst upholding the highest standards and values for Egis’ customers, employees and the Group, as a whole.

Joining Egis in March 2020, Alaa brings over 20 years of experience in multidisciplinary engineering, business management, governance and international expansion across diverse multicultural environments. His career spans significant roles in the Middle East, Sub Sahara Africa, the US and Latin America. Prior to becoming CEO, he served as the Chief Operating Officer of Egis in Middle East, overseeing project execution and delivery for clients in the region, and passionately advocating for engineering services dedicated to creating world a better, safer, healthier and more connected world.

Alaa holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Al-Balqa’ Applied University in Jordan, an Executive Accelerated Development qualification from Rice University and an Executive MBA from the University of Oxford. He is also a Certified Project Manager Professional (PMP)® and a Certified Climate Change Professional (CC-P).
