Gaurish is an Architect-Urban Designer, with over 25 years of experience working on prestigious projects such as Reem Island Development, the Bahrain Investment Wharf, Palm Jebel Ali and Dubai Waterfront. He joined Masdar City in 2008.

Wagle has been instrumental in leading the Masdar City Masterplan design, development, and implementation over the past 15 years. He also leads the Masdar City Sustainability Strategy and the Masdar City Development Review process for Master Developers approvals for projects in Masdar City.
Wagle has been leading the Masdar City Sustainability Strategy from 2015 aligning it with the Abu Dhabi’s Sustainability Programs - Estidama Community Rating System (PCRS), Estidama Public Realm Rating System (PRRS) and Estidama Building Rating System (PBRS). Under his stewardship, Masdar City developed the first Sitewide Estidama PCRS Strategy in Abu Dhabi and obtained the first PRRS ‘Exemplar’ Rating for the Central Park project which received multiple awards in 2022.

Wagle is a registered Architect, Urban Designer and Planner in India and the UAE. He graduated as an architect from Goa University, India in 1995 and completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Urban Design from CEPT University, India in 1997.

Wagle is also actively involved in lectures, workshops and forums on Sustainable and Smart City Planning at Masdar City; Department of Municipalities & Transportation (Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council – Plan Capital 2030); Paris Sorbonne University, Abu Dhabi; CEPT University, Ahmedabad India; Goa University, Goa India; and the Khalifa University of Science and Technology, Abu Dhabi. He was also invited as a global leader on Energy, Environment and Sustainable Cities to speak at the United Nation’s International Students Energy Summit 2015, in Bali, Indonesia.
